    U. New Hampshire w. soccer new coach

    http://www.unhwildcats.com/sports/ws...201211159mb42b

UNH women's soccer coach Mike Jackson resigned after 18 years. Who are the candidates? Who will get this job?

    Probably an unproven D1 ass't. coach like a Boston U. ass't. coach.

What is the pulse up at UNH? Are they thinking like UConn and UMass these days and contemplating pushing their football programs onto the bigger stage to drive revenue like their old Yankee Conference partners are clearly doing. With the recent deflections, the Big East is clearly going to be looking for new partners. Might UNH be thinking that way? If they are that will have a huge impact on the women's soccer program. There will have to be more money pushed into the program and they will need a bigger name coach to draw in the recruits to compete at that level. Could UNH be an opportunity in the making maybe?

Close! An ex-BU assistant with experience. Word on the street it's going to be DB from American U.

URI men's? This topic is UNH women's soccer. Stay on the same page.

What about D3 local coaches like Denise Dellamoron from Brandeis or Martin Desmaria from M.I.T.?

I highly doubt UNH is going with DB. AN or FK are my best bets

Please stop with the initials guessing game. Who is AN and FK? American U. has already posted their job opening on NCAA Job Market and Dave is no longer listed as their coach on their web site.

You can't be serious. Brandeis or MIT coach? Both would never be considered and both would be eaten alive in D1. If there were any local D3 coaches that the UNH AD would look at, he would look at Jen Hughes at Amherst or Michelyne Pinard at Williams or Luis Reis at Wheaton. That's it. But he is not going that route.

Wow. What makes you think it would be a step up for either? Both have long records of success at prestigious academic institutions. Both have built winning programs with highly ranked teams. Denise has accomplished this in one of the most competitive conferences in dIII.

Why is it assumed going from highly successful dIII programs to a woeful dI program would be something either would want to do? Just because its dI?

Did we find out who AN and FK are? Who are the finalist?

Wouldn't be for the money. The salary range is shockingly low, $51,000 - $58,000. Lower than D3 top programs.
