West: Does Minnechaug look strong again this year? Pittsfield did Ok last year, do they have a shot?
    Central: Wachusett or Nashoba?
South: Franklin, Bishop or Needham? Anyone else in contention?
North: It looks like the defending champs (Newton North) won't be there. Is AB the new king of the hill in the north or does Central Catholic have a good shot?

In the North, A-B is definitely king of the hill. Everyone else is 2nd or below, with the 2nd contenders being (alpha) Andover, Central Catholic, Lincoln Sudbury, and Peabody.

The little defender from Needham should be Carey MVP! But it will never happen.

Let's not even start that discussion. League MVP, State All-Star, etc. is all so political. It is really a shame, but how can every coach or AD know about every player. They just have to go by a coach's recommendation.

That's my point! It can be way to in crowd stuff ! That's why the little defender has Zero chance of winning any award. She gets mine!!!! And I am not mom/dad or uncle Bob.

              Western Mass (in order)

West Springfield- the favorite and the strongest/deepest team
Minnechaug- even though they haven't beaten a Coombs division rival this year they are second choice
Belchertown- playing as a team and getting stronger all season
Pittsfield- somehow they are a factor every year
Ludlow- second most talented team here
East Longmeadow- not as talented as some recent squads
Chicopee- racking up wins but can they beat the big boys?

Don't underestimate Coach T he is about as political as it gets. In the past he has been able to get accolades and awards for players that probably shouldn't go them.

Don't forget Chelmsford. They tied Central in a game that they controlled. Also just gave Andover their first loss, 3-0. Have only given up 3 goals all season. Under the radar!

:) Spoke too soon. Chelmsford gave up their 4th goal of the season in a 1-0 loss to North Andover.
