For your maple question. It produced a state champ. I know that kills you but its a fact.

I am going to go out on limb and say SSS will win region 1 at both U13 and U14 this coming year. They will do well at Nationals and possible win a National Championship also. The problem is that they will have no competition because all the top teams have dropped out of this format. LL has great relationship with MAPLE and R1 because she is one of the few owners that have not left for US Club Soccer. Her teams will get a lot of exceptions moving forward to keep her from moving on to US Club Soccer. Region 1 and the National league is not going to be what it used to be without all the US Club Soccer teams. It is now and will become even more a B rated league. I am not saying her teams are B level teams. They can play with all the big clubs in MA and the region. I am just saying the USYSA soccer model is dead. Even making the regional ODP team is not that difficult anymore with parents and players doing ID2 programs through US Club Soccer (ECNL and NPL). The NT and College coaches are and will even more look at the ECNL and NPL leagues for talent. This is not to say that top level talent will not be found but for the level a notch lower you will not have the options that ECNL and NPL players will have moving forward.
