Wellsey could still be caught by Natick for first.
Not sure but I think that would require a Wellesley loss or tie vs Milton

As long as Natick (8-4-2) beats Norwood tomorrow, they can tie Wellesley (9-3-2) by beating them at home under the lights next Monday evening. Natick then has a 2d game with Framingham set for Wed. 10/29. The rules count it toward league standings? If yes, at least we know there won't be a tie for 1st in Herget division.

          Thursday line-up

          Brookline-Weymouth
          Framingham-Newton North
          Natick-Norwood
          Needham-Braintree
          Walpole-Dedham
          Wellesley-Milton

The first one looks most competitive, but forgive me for forecasting 0-0.

Maybe Needham does have a good team, but they still struggle against Framingham.

Zero for Weymouth? What happened to their top scorer: #10?

Don't be harsh. Of the BSC teams that will reach the tournament, only Brookline scores less than Weymouth. Once an opponent realizes he's the only option Weymouth has, many teams are able to stop them. Weymouth has been shut out by Silver Lake, Brookline and Framingham as well, so no reason to treat this as a surprise.

Regardless of how the league counts the 10/29 Natick-Framingham game for its standings, the game counts for tournament ranking and leaves the possibility that Natick and Wellesley will have identical overall records. MIAA just tosses a coin in that case to sort out the tournament bracket.

That is a false report. It was within the final two minutes.

Game played in Needham in cold, driving rain. Braintree scored early on a long throw in and a nice finish. Braintree defended well and had a few good chances but Needham had many more chances and probably about a dozen corner kicks. Needham finally went to a very offensive formation in the last minutes and scored with about 3 minutes to play. Not Needham's best game by a long shot. But a good prep game for what the games in the tournament will be like. Credit to Braintree for playing a game that is better than their record would indicate.

Framingham 3 Newton North 0. Brutal conditions. Framingham scored 3 early goals with the wind
