No need to research if your child is perfectly happy in NEP.

U just have no idea haha! If ur playing in the NEP premiership or championship then you are one of the top teams in the state...if your playing down in the league divisions then yes it’s comparable to town soccer...ur daughter must be down in those divisions and your having a tough time accepting it!

            1. DA
            2. ECNL/NPL
            3. NEP Premiership
            4. NEP Championship/NSL Elite
            5. NEP League/NSL Club/Town Division 1
            6. NSL Select/Town Division 2

This is specific to New England. There is overlap, but generally this is the current state of play by U13. My D's Premiership team has beat NPL and ECNL teams from other states in tourneys, but that isn't the norm.

Why is ECNL higher than NPL? Bolts and Stars did very well at the last ECNL event?

ECNL is better than NPL. Many NPL kids were invited to ECNL tryouts so the ECNL teams cherry picked the NPL players. Also, in another thread in TS a college coach said that the general assumption among college coaches is that ECNL is viewed at a higher level than NPL.

If you're kid is in NPL don't get your panties in a bunch. It isn't enough of a difference to get worked up about.

All depends on the team and age group. If it's an NPL team that consistently beats ECNL teams, coaches are aware. If it is an ECNL team that consistently loses, they are also aware.
