Has soccer in "Moderate Risk" which does indeed put them in the open for play category.

    Lucky them
They only got the OK to play less than a week ago. Prior it was just small group practices.

New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania ... all back to scrimmages and games.

NY apparently initially had soccer in high risk but then moved it to medium

There are rumblings that this may also happen in Massachusetts. As one of the previous posters pointed out, all sports will be re-evaluated in two weeks. I think it’s clear that although some sports do belong in the high risk category soccer is not one of them.

EDP currently holding tourney in NJ this weekend. NJ was hit harder than MA and they now have soccer.

There’s no link because there’s no tournament. Come on man, don’t fall for these trolls.

This is probably more inter squad scrimmages and small sided games.
RI info is incorrect. Stable groups are required, but scrimmaging and contact within those groups, while not recommended, is not banned like in MA. Clubs have been and continue to allow full contact play amd scrimmages in RI. MA is currently the only state in New England not allowing kids to actually play soccer right now and honestly, it is complete BS.

I am fairly confident that this is changed come 7/20 which the first hurdle for Phase 3 step 2. Each sport is being re-evaluated and simply based on the fact that every New England state along with New York and New Jersey is allowing play I feel Massachusetts soccer will be reclassified.

You have highly paid DOC, soccer boards, clubs, expensive preps colleges, MAss Y soccer and plenty of soccer moms that like to talk ****. Collect the data on other states and where soccer it placed as a risk. Contact your state rep and congressman (they work for us) and the governor with this data. A petition by the owner of forekicks isn’t the answer

Found this little tidbit when reading about the start up of the premiership:

“Close contact elsewhere is rare, with Premier League research into GPS data from nearly 300 games suggesting that 98 per cent of players spend less than five minutes in close contact during the course of a match.”
