The rules and rationale are not consistent-if one group is playing than they all should be playing.
At the state and local level officials won't be able to justify school sports not running but others can.

And kids that play on club teams come from all over the state.. it’s not contained like a high school where they are all from the same town. What idiot is making up these rules?

Political leaders are, does it surprise you that things don’t make a lot of sense all over the country?

Makes no sense. We should be doing things to protect the small population of people who are at risk. Instead we decided to devastate our children’s lives.

This line of thinking of having our cake and eating it too is mind numbing. You can't just isolate the vulnerable easily. Look at nursing homes and the devastation that Covd-19 has done. You have an 'isolated' population yet the virus still propagates within them. How does it get there? The healthcare workers bring it in from contracting during their off work hours in the community.

How can you be preaching right now debunked garbage? Look at the rest of thecountry. The reason why the northeast states are doing relatively well is correlated with the length of state mandated restrictions.

                  Scott Gottlieb
That clown is the biggest fear monger I have ever come across.
His “recommendations” are strictly political and not based in science or facts.
There is a reason he is a former FDA official.

This has nothing to do with current CDC or FDA leaders. I happen to think current leadership of both organizations have failed us epically. But this has nothing to do with Scott Gottlieb and his advisor role to Lamont. Gottlieb wants everything shutdown until a vaccine. His advice is strictly political.

That is so wrong it is comical.
We had no impact on virus. It came, it ran it’s course and now is retreating.
                    Why?
Simple. 60% have t-cell immunity. Other 40% are susceptible. Huge amount of that 40% have now had it and have antibodies and t-cell immunity. The virus will trickle along but has few pathways left.

Both Gottlieb and the current head Han and qualified physicians but Hahn had zero experience running a federal agency when where took over. Gottlieb did. The FDA and CDC (Redfield is the head and he's another real piece of work) and Azar at HHS are all incapable of handling a crisis, clearly. Their monumental failures with testing cost us precious weeks where we didn't know how bad this HS had gotten.

And your med school degree is from where? Masters in Public health? How about just reading literature? No area, not even hard hit NYC or Spain or Italy or Wuhan have antibodies that high. Even NYC is only 20% and that's the highest. The rest is <10%. Ma

It is a save money play for schools. CT can play high school sports easily but will not to just save money. This is that simple

Now that we're testing people who aren't sick Gottlieb can pull more of his reckless fearmongering and lie about your kids being at risk. twitter.com/ScottGottliebM…

Our CT schools saved a shît ton of money from Mid March through June when schools were shuttered. No bussing, no sports, no extracurriculars, no plays, no proms, no graduation to speak of, highly reduced utility costs, food costs and staffing costs, etc. Lots of savings over that time period.
