Shocked that the Jeff Cup has not cancelled their event. Va is a hot state and people have to quarantine after

They will without question cancel this event in Virginia. No possible way they can get this played

Even if they could I imagine teams are dropping out left and right. It's one thing to take some travel risks for a family vacation, but a soccer tournament?

Look at who goes from CT and you'll find the dummy clubs. All in the name of keeping money. Dummies.

Did you see yet? Yup, low IQ directors

Our club is not getting a refund or a credit towards next years tournament. Jeff Cup is keeping the registration fee which is crazy. We were meant to go to the original event in March. State association blocked us from going as no out of state travel in August.

While I agree it's not the right thing to do, contractually they probably can do it. If teams aren't even allowed to travel because of state restrictions then they should at least be give a partial refund. In the long run it will hurt them. Teams won't ever come back.

Also, your contribution to that was probably about $70. That isn't going to make or break your ability to afford club soccer for this year.

OW wins this thing every year. Yawn. So boring. Could probably skip it this year.

If you're spending $3000+travel a year per kid then you've already jumped on the spending bandwagon. If $70 will make or break you maybe you shouldn't be doing pricey travel soccer? Plus you won't have the travel, so you netted well ahead. Make it clear to your club you don't want to go next year, although it's unlikely they do either

The best is the fees during season so coachy can stay in a hotel room and per diem costs. First off the coach can't coach to start with, now we got to pass the hat to put him up. Good grief

You must be with a crap club. Usually those expenses are rolled into your annual fees. Why should he have to pay out of his own pocket to travel? Its a business expense and they make crap money to begin with
