Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI can pile on here, at least for my kid's age group. There is talent on the team, but think there are flaws with the use of kids and management of the process.
1) They took every kid that showed up for tryouts, told every parent their kid will play in the MLS League (before it was called NEXT). Now some parents feel like its a major bait and switch. They should have been upfront with families in the beginning and divided kids into A and B. There are pissed off parents on A and B with the lack of transparency.
3) Practices are typically 35% running, 35% talking, 30% rondos.
4) Game play style is boot and scoot. Claimed from the start, the style is "defensive". I guess that means just get the ball out of the back half at all costs.
5) Coaches and DOC act like its "tough love" with the treatment of the players and parents but its just a front for having zero clue.

If anyone thinks that the club management gives a sh!t, you are delusional. Let me give you something even worse than horribly poor soccer they offer. About 4 years ago, a male coach attempted to enter a female players' hotel room during an away trip. It was a major issue and right after the Parkland shooting. Old Eric called for a parent/team meeting to discuss what happened. He never even showed up. It was HIS meeting!!! Coach disappeared (ie left country) and the team disbanded. Thankfully the girls program closed down right after that.
That's the kind of organization being run there. They could give 2 sh!ts about a kid. It's all about the $$$. Pull up their IRS Form 990. It is clear as day. If any parent is still sending their children to BU or SFFA or whatever new acronym those azzholes create, your child should be surrendered to DCF.

Eric teaches possession with no purpose - pass the ball around hoping the other team gets dizzy - no idea on how to work on offense or finishing

Rondo 70% of practice we do not care about winning is their favorite thing to say but if you are taught how to play right and have the players than you should win especially age u15 and up the older the teams the worse they are

EE is scamming parents for years now. There are bad DOC's and bad clubs out there but EE is probably the worst of the bunch. He is all about the money and has no intention of doing whats right for the player or the club. Just a greedy person who only cares about his pocket. The guy is never to be found on the fields. Ask him to show you the clubs curriculum. Ask him to give a presentation on the clubs philosophy, playing style and curriculum and see what happens.

Do not waste your money at BU/SFFA. Thats one club where the DOC's priority is to line his pockets. He has the club running on auto pilot for years collecting registration money from parents who aren't aware of his terrible reputation in the soccer community.

They do not cut have you watched a game lately? Kids on field at age of 16 have no first touch, dribbling with head down, defenders just clearing balls out.The players have no clue where and when to move with ball or without ball.We are not here to win games just develop losser’s.
