    Jupiter try-outs

What a disaster...hardly any kids and usual lies about PBG kids coming who never arrive

With TP leaving it is now officially a rec only club... most kids moving to Gardens including some leaders of the club.. the every 2 year blow up in Jupiter

Stop with the bs. Each age group had at least 20-30 kids for each age group. Only the 2007 boys were small

There were a number of Gardens players there. There was a large turnout. Very competitive.

Maybe if they get Tim Howard and Carli Lloyd to do another video it will boost numbers and make people forget how big a joke the club is.

because only 350 kids, club is not as good. why? because they are not three teams deep with a jet/blue third team that is not very good. Third teams serve a purpose for the kids but lets not say that having 3 teams makes you a better club.

so what else.Let me guess. The DA is the best. ECNL is the only way to go. typical league parent. How is that DA theory working out? If you have a competeive team and a good coach, that is what you need. The Da is over.ECNL- Zero girls ecnl between ft lauderdale and treasure coast. boys ecnl-too early to call although talking soccer people think this is going nowhere with gardens, wellington and miramar.
go travel around the states with your crappy teams in a respected leauge getting your arses kicked, and then returning home to your mediocre coach. We just prefer a competetive group with a strong coach.this may not apply to every age group but if you like, try coming to jupiter for the last tryout as there may (you think your kid is so good because they play "super duper overated league") be a spot for afew of them.2005 has more because Tom left. i hope some of you give it a chance as a strong player or 2 to each team only gets them better but again, that is all these teams need and opportunities are limited.the coaches are great as well.
ps-if you do get an invite from another club,do not let it expire because chances are you have no idea how good the jupiter teams are and your kid probably will not make it.

Actually seeing good coaches, players and families being turned away, lied to and suffering disorganized and mediocre product over the past 5-6 years. Having leadership consistently turn over every 2 years on average. That’s why the club is a joke - until they get things straightened out behind the scenes all the former pros/college players & coaches etc mean nothing as they’ll be gone soon enough. So you’re in one of the teams that actually function - well done as most seem like a train wreck waiting to happen.

You bash the bigger clubs from playing at a high level but getting beat while claiming the Jupiter teams are better than others think yet which leagues do they play in and at what standard? The bigger clubs offer the higher standard, some players rise to it and others don’t or simply can’t. So based on your point of view it’s a waste of time? Make those high level players travel to Orlando/Tampa/Miami/Jacksonville? The fact that 350/400 even just 100 still show up for Jupiter tryouts is actually quite impressive, you’ve found a happy place - good for you.

                      25 in 1st session
15 in second and 15 in third.. not adding up to 300

They did meet TM which was nice but time to join a real youth soccer club not one run on MLS stories who will never be on fields as he has radio show and commentates on TV.

                          Ok, let’s not exaggerate.
Fact is mass tryouts are always lame at every club.
Especially this year with all the social distance crap everyone is having to deal with.
We are attending all the north county tryouts. Gardens tryouts were just as cautious.
Has got to be that way for clubs using public facilities for the time being unfortunately.
The fact is, if you are staying put, none of this matters.
But if you are considering switching clubs / teams, you (should) have already have done your homework and have identified which teams within reach might be a fit. There are not many. Some age groups are stronger at different clubs. How did they do last year. Who is the coach. What positions are they stacked or weak at. What level league did they play. Are the core players returning. And before tryouts you have talked to the director or coach. Maybe even had a private evaluation. Mass tryouts are just a formality for what is going on behind the scenes.

Oh, and the numbers at Jupiter last night were actually more than I expected.
For the first and second session at least, did not see the numbers for the older groups.
This was for boys. Gardens had more but not by as much as I would have expected from what I could tell.
                            Do not know for girls.

Leadership? who really cares as long as you have a good coach. The only upset parents at any clubs are those of the kids who do not play because they are not good enough and the parents of those that should play more because time is split evenly to keep everyone in the program. fortunately Jupiter upsets only the first group because they play who deserves to play, not whp they need to play to keep the kids in the program. you should come back for a tryout if your child is better now. if you left a few years back as part of the second group, you will like it now.
