Yes that is correct. EDP conference isnt new. But the conference is adding a New England Specific division next year. They had NE regional and states divisions last year but not conference. And edp destroyed the top brackets of NEP npl doing this.

NEP is blowing apart. EDP have announced 12 and more announcements are forthcoming. Several more clubs will be joining EDP New England.

Top teams from CT Rush, Ginga, SCP & Sporting who all played National League North Atlantic last year will enter National League New England this year.

CFC North had branches play EDP last year and are now taking their NEP NPL teams and entering them into National League New England this year.

Oakwood and Yankee had teams in NEP NPL last year and will put them in National League New England this year.

Juventus Boston has grown and will be a huge club in MA and RI. Ton of former GPS coaches who are bringing teams to them.

New England Surf is former GPS and Valeo directors bringing top teams with them to the new club.

Rush New England existed in MA before, had to affiliate with GPS to enter NEP and is now back under the Rush brand.

Rhode Island Surf is a combination of former GPS RI and NEFC Southeast teams.

Today EDP added Seacoast MA and Western United Pioneers to National League New England.

If EDP can pull 3 or 4 of Stars/Scorpions/Spirit of Liverpool/Valeo/Bayside then NEP would collapse.

NEFC-Bolts-Select will be the last NEP hold outs.

Yeah, and NEP is GPS heavy. 1/3 of League is GPS and it’s likely that those teams won’t exist in a few weeks. The New England League, NECSL/EDP, has brought in some very good clubs. They will likely be making one more announcement with additional clubs. Brilliant start by this start up league. It’s a strong combination of EDP muscle with old NEP Director, SC. They will mop up the rest of the clubs next year and leave SSS and Bolts to play in a league of their own.

The NEP environment allowed GPS to thrive and bring a bunch of clubs under their umbrella. They took full advantage and it became about selling the league more than about improving and selling their program. EDP isn’t setup that way. It’s merit based so all clubs have to focus on their own product and attract players that way.

Ah yes - I see the anti GPS loons have decided to migrate to the CT board. Good luck everyone - this is all you'll hear about now!

Not sure WUP is going EDP - they seemed to have been listed late or on a follow up NEP commitment letter page on the NEP website.

They were added to the solidarity agreement and then committed to National League.

Good luck finding the letter on the NEPs basic and underwhelming new website to confirm.

EDP was created for clubs that didn't field teams at a age groups.
