UNC>UCONN>CCSU. Point being "high level" competitive players want to win. Being on a losing team can be a drag for some players; others just get on with it. But a losing record won't help with recruiting either. Top it off with UCONN in a weaker conference and they have a harder time getting "top" players.

Point being, you are still wrong. Competitive kids at Wesleyan and Conn College want to win too .... that doesn't make them "elite" either. Get over yourself. Your kid is not elite just because she is competitive or there are levels below her .... there are plenty of levels above her. What are those? Uber Elite? Mega Elite? Super-de-duper elite? Good for Uconn soccer and the kids that play there, but they are not elite. Uconn women's basketball is elite, no other programs on that campus are.

Sometimes good assistant coaches don't make good head coaches. Same with great players not making good coaches. It happens in other jobs as well - eg when a great sales person doesn't make a good manager. Different skill sets, difference performance criteria

Very true. The greatest pro football coach of all time, Bill B of the Pats, was an average D3 NESCAC football player (Wesleyan).

She did the recruiting Lenny did nothing. She did the coaching. She did a poor job of both the past few years hence a horrible season last year. Two year contract means the AD had no faith in her.

What part of the statement was incorrect? Everyone knows LT never stepped foot at a tour ament in 15 years. He didn’t even know half the players names that were on the team. Make no mistake. Lenny checked out years ago. The Asst Coaches have been running the show for years.

Being present isn't the same as actually working. And shouldn't he have been at GDA and ECNL events? Sure you can find a few good players at Jeff Cup and Disney, but you'll get more bang for your buck elsewhere.
