While at our players club practice the other day, we saw a couple HS games going on. It was great to see! Kids were bringing it! Relief! Any feedback as to how the school soccer season has been going for those able to play now? Restrictions didn't appear to be much of an impact. Our players school season is will be fall 2

Too many whistles, resulting in no flow during games. The lack of heading is a big change. Smart teams are capitalizing on kick ins by getting the ball in quickly to catch the defense off guard.

That is crazy that you have to wait for whistle for kick ins. Quick kick ins (as long as the ball is not moving) are one of the skills that help Futsal teams catch the opponent off guard.
Way too much referee involvement with the revised rules. The lack of consistent enforcement of the updated rules makes the game unrecognizable.

We've mostly witnessed club games, & all things considered, the flow doesn't seem too bad with mods. Guess it's the best the kids have got for time being. The other day did we watch a bit of those HS games referred to in earlier post & refs seemed to let them play. Tough situation for refs for sure. We are not looking forward if in fact the miaa refs are a bit more restrictive than club. Do others see the miaa refs whistle happy or is this selective to a few particular games?

The first few games I watched were ok with adjustments made for heading with kids chest trapping the balls and strategic play adjustments for new rules. I thought ok this might not be as bad as I thought. Last game refs whistling everything including minor contact and making kids kick in at the whistle. I really noticed it altering the flow of the game. It really works against more physical and scrappy teams.
