Good luck to your daughter & be happy she is not at this crappy ass club.
You couldn’t be more wrong. My daughter is on the 03 WFF team, there were over 60 D1 coaches watch her team play these games, including all of the ones she had previously contacted.

Should have talked to some of the parents of older players (at both clubs).
Is TBU knocking WFF for offering "all expense paid" to players.??? TBU has done the same thing in the 06 girls age group.

The whole ECNL/DA thing stinks and is a disservice to all of us but it is what it is. We are at a Florida DA club and every D1 college coach that my daughter requested came to see her in Oceanside.
".....which is decided by families such as mine who have a stud." Did you really type that? You exactly fit the profile of the deranged, delusional, GDA parent.

            Completely different situation.....

TAMPA, FL (April 10, 2018) – As a result of an anonymous grant to the Tampa Bay United (TBU) Rowdies, the players selected for the U13 Girls ECNL and Premier teams will have their Club Registration Fees waived for the 2018-19 season. This grant will affect thirty 2006 (birth year) girls players. This is a test/experiment beginning with this age bracket with the ultimate goal to do this with all competitive age groups in the next few years.

They forgot the ‘to keep them away from GDA’ part.

Someone is paying a bunch of money to get their kid on the team.

Yes I wrote and stand by it, and no I am not deranged, just aware of my daughter's place in the landscape. This is an anonymous site and I obviously would not say she is a stud to your face, as I do have some modesty, but her performance, play time, stats, peer group rankings, and top D1 college program interest make my assessment anything but delusional. The delusion is to think that other families such as mine that have top players are choosing ECNL as their platform. It simply is not true. The "studs" at Concorde fire and Michigan Hawks have all voted with their feet as it seems the TBU crowd has. I have nothing against TBU. They are a for profit club chasing profits and ECNL at this point is more profitable but don't kid yourself that ECNL is where the top talent is going.

Also, I highly doubt anyone is playing at WFF for free. This is just deflection because the idea that these players decided to move on for better opportunities is too painful. It is funny that the management at TBU is trying to stem off the tide of top players leaving for DA by offering their incoming ECNL age team free registration. This should tell you everything unless of course you are delusional.

I believe it. The attention KW and SS recieved was very impressive, they couldn’t walk the length of a field without someone stopping to talk to them.

                          She has quite the resume.

Weird how she bounces around so much though, and compared to her last few gigs...you have to wonder what her end game is in mind at WFF?

Agreed, nice resume. The gig at WFF still keeps her in the US Soccer circle.

She has here work cut out for here. Maybe with lots of hard work and a little luck she can help WFF climb over Boca and IMG into the 59th spot. Then it's a straight shot to the YNT!

This is copied from the socalsoccer forum, but a member used the college soccer RPI formula on the GDA standings 2017-18 and came up with GDA club rankings. Is that the best measure? (Using College Soccer RPI formula) I do not know, but the topic was more of a Southern Caifornia clubs vs. Other states/regions, so not necessarily the typical GDA vs. ECNL bashing that is spouted on all these threads. College Commitments

These threads are always so amusing...are none of the parents that argue back and forth business people? How about using some real metrics in order to judge what is a better choice for your kid?

I don't know much about the WFF's actual college commitments, but as a '04 TBU parent, I am looking very closely at the older girls at our club. This should give any parent a better idea of what to expect once their daughter is a sophomore or junior in HS. So far it's promising. Here are the actual commitments for the ECNL '00, '01 and '02s at TBU (per their Facebook Page). If you feel that WFF is just as good or better, and your daughter's ultimate goal is to play in college, then stay!
