Not true. All kids played a lot as freshmen. After transferring, Some of those kids ended up starting on class LL teams.

The point is they hated the school as it related to academics and socially. Athletics made GE good but it's not for everyone

you play where the CIAC makes you play ( dont hate the playa, hate the game)
BTW how did football do in the FCIAC ( small playing against LL schools)? not bad

You play where they tell you (you can petition to play up) but can't compare state championships to Greenwich.

They did fine. Thanks for proving the point that it was a joke playing in Class S

you are trying to compare a school with 4000 kids to one with under 800
and tourney class is dependent on population
youre right you cant compare states-greenwich should have won 4x as many as stjs

Please. Competition is much more intense in Class L or LL

A school that recruits outside its footprint can punch above their population and shouldn't be in Class S.

Now that basketball has adopted a school of choice criteria watch STJ championships diminish in that sport

no doubt- thats why they do so well in class S they play LL all season
again i agree they could play in any class CIAC put them in
Basketball is already suffering but not for the reason you mentioned

Quick question... What have they ever won (besides CT CUP for some of them)? Half those girls will play one year of college realize the they are small fish in big pond, year two they move schools and focus on academics.
CFC 02's will dominate the FCIAC? ***? Not sure what this means?

Only 1 FCIAC player starts on that team. That should tell you something about the so called states best soccer conference.

She is by far the best player in the state and on that team she is surrounded by some high quality players.

You pay for the bus, or you pay for an Uber - the point is that you pay to get your kid to school (and home again after soccer practice) and you pay for tuition. If I lived in Westport, I would need a very compelling reason to send my kid to SJ.
