Angry ECNL Poster, you keep us all so entertained. Remember when you got so mad about what you are paying in ECNL that you created a thread about it? You burst a vein that day. Moreso than other days anyway. All of that anger, waiting to be let out on TS on a daily basis.

This thread is so off topic. The title is "Thorns Academy 4th in FWRL!" has anyone analyzed why an OYSA all star team did so poorly?

It's all about how NWCL stinks and how our mighty ECNL teams still can't win in it when they are playing competition that is equivilent of glorified rec. Can any of you ECNL folks justify this? You are supposed to be these great teams, but you can't beat teams like the Issaquah Gunners, Eastside, Washington Rush, Tynecastle, ....

Funny but the FCP U17 and U18 ECNL teams played Eugene and won 2-0. Thorns played them and beat them 5-0. Maybe FCP should put that on their resume.

Those Washington teams listed there are not good normally except for Eastside. They should be even more terrible after U13-14.

Maybe ECNL wannabe Oregon teams should play RCL first then figure out if they are good enough to play outside of WA. Then again, the ECNL conference schedule is worse than RCL 1 in Washington so maybe they are paying 10k a year for an easier schedule.

I dont care what Thorns or whoever is doing. When I am asked to pay 10k a year and I was told that the teams would be good and the competition would be good, right there I've been lied to twice at this point.

Truth

You ECNL parents need to figure out really quick if you are going to run your name into the ground before it starts simply by trying to deflect REAL issues with what was said was going to happen and what is NOW happening. Or are you going to be critical?

If you go the first you are already alienating yourselves from others joining as you do not look smart by defending broken promises and propaganda built up by you and your coaches by deflecting.

If you go with the second, you better start asking the right questions of your coaches and clubs so that maybe ECNL will be a VIABLE option in the future because right now all it looks like is a bunch of lying and crazy parents defending the lack of competition, how shockingly poor the teams turned out, and the questionable development decisions being made to save money.

Please by all means deflect but one thing is for sure, you are stuck holding a bag and the bag isn't full of good things. You are starting to smell like it.

Maybe a wins a win. Lots of factors go into why the final score is the way it was. Maybe the Thorns should try to set up some games with the ECNL teams. If they're not too afraid of getting thumped hard, that is.

Maybe they (FCP) doesn't feel the need to pad the score in a match they felt in control of? Maybe the thorns needed to bully some team around to build their confidence in an effort to make the disaster in FWRL not look so pathetic.
