Surf Cup GDA is better than Clash at the Border!

If it’s that simple, you’d see the top ECNL teams from ECNL National Playoffs invited. That ain’t happening, it’s all cowardly politics. Run away.

The top us club (ecnl) clubs all moved to the DA last year and they are in the DA Surf top flight.

All of 2017 ECNL top finshers are in the top flight.

This years leftover finishers from ecnl arent in the top flight, they applied to be one of 80 DA clubs last year got rejected, no chance to be in Surf DA flight its more exclusive than the DA.

        Are you really that dense.

If Surf only allows GDA teams that made it far in the GDA playoffs, then it will be a very strong group. In any GDA team that didn’t even make the playoffs get in, then it’s not so strong.
Wouldn’t it be nice if all the nations top teams could play each other again like before ecnl & gda?

Thats too simple. The ole usys/odp format produced the greatest generations for both men & women.

Club greed and US Soccer have created this abyss.

Clash at the Border should be above the balloon fest whatever that is.

Bend cup is way underrated. This may be the best event in Oregon.

The venue may be nicer (it's Bend as opposed to Camas or wherever-theres-a-field), but the level of competition in Clash and Hood are both higher; in many age groups, it seems, the best team at Bend is Bend FC Timbers.

Neither Clash nor Hood are anywhere near Crossfire in quality (let alone an elite tournament like Surf) but some of the age groups had some pretty heavyweight west coast teams.

You mean a few of the top ECNL clubs moved to GDA last year - and this year the best of those moved back to ECNL once they saw the scam for what it was.

GDA is what you have left over when you take all the good teams out of OYSA.

Balloon Fest is ranked #5? Interesting.

Some serious competition. Surf Cup has become a big joke with five different divisions.

Things must have changed. My kids haven't played in this event for a couple of years. Maybe 4, but back then comp level was pretty good and parents had a blast.
