    The Elite ?

After the group stages at the CrossFire Challenge the Oregon Elite went

CrossFire United went 6-3-1 (half of the wins coming from the 03's

The mighty FC Portland went 1-2-0

These are games played against teams that did not play in the Elite ECNL last year.

Just because CU and FC play in the ECNL doesn't make them Elite. It makes them convenient to fill out the national league roster.

The good news is a few RCL are moving to the ECNL NW league this will have an immediate impact on the quality.

Got tired of waiting, you must be busy littering some other thread. So looks like the rest of OR went 4-5-3?? Well hold on, I’ll toss in WA Timbers and we get 6-8-4. So CU has more wins than the entire rest of the state of OR AND SW Washington. Wow, a single club?? Now you can take your rants elsewhere.

One elite team, which happens to be in ECNL, kicked butt, the rest were average at best.

They (CU) sent 4 teams to a northwest tourney. 3 of them struggled and 1 competes.

Their 05 team not playing this weekend, has been decimated by the DA.
This is exactly how US Soccer has positioned the DA, take the best of the best and let the local clubs get by with what's left. This cycle will continue for years.

Boys clubs in the area were actually bonafide and nationally relevant prior to the Timbers DA, are not so much anymore, they are left playing in a watered down USYS and the best local talent has gone to the Timbers DA. The boys side in glimpses is just starting to show signs of coming back after 6 years of a DA in town.

Timber/Thorns having a DA and no local club ever getting one, guarantees this new 'normal.

In the end they (CU & FC ) both resemble local neighborhood clubs heading up north for some tourney games 1 year after the DA came live.

Westside Timbers sent 5 teams on the boys side and went 7-5-4 two of them went 3-0 in pool play.

The fact they (CU & FC) have parents willing to bypass playing locally and travel for the sake of travel, is something only slick salesman could explain. Since their travel schedule has no relation to any elite club ability, which is again evidenced at a local northwest USYS/US CLub (eCnL) NW Tourney.

Outside of the fools spending their monies on this charade, it's a personal choice, which is fine and dandy. But, saying nonsense like we are #3 in the Nation? When the DA has all the elite players and the USYS top teams are better than any US Club league offering, is not only disingenuous it's a insult to anyone with an IQ over 60.

Our local clubs are dying for the marketing & branding that the label; 'DA' affords them.
7 local clubs, who only play themselves have all bought in, since the National "Big" DA is the real deal and out of their reach. It's status by association ploy, which is what FC & CU went after when they joined the US Club league a few years back and got their buttts handed to them over and over, but this year the DA blew up that angle of ass-ociation.

This would be expected of OYSA teams but not of the mighty Elite teams. Take out the CU 03 team and the Elite suck like the rest of Oregon. The rest of Oregon also has a really good 03 team called GPS

Face it your not special unless you pay someone 10k a year to tell you you are.

And your point is? Is your DD's team better than the Oregon ECNL team in her age group? If so, what team does she play for? Can't name it, can you, because her team plays in OYSA 3rd division and she rides the pine hard, and you're just a bitter lemming. Right?

Only idiots think the other clubs in Oregon actually want into the GDA. Nobody wants into that debacle. Note that ALL the top clubs in the country have LEFT the GDA, saying that it was the worse thing imaginable.

Finally you are comparing yourself to an OYSA standard that is exactly what you are but you pay three times as much

It's taken years for people to un learn the bs they were told when signing up.

Cu or Fcp wouldn't be top in the state in all but 1-2 teams combined yet they hid in a watered down league that is getting worse each year. They then tried to say they were better but yet again they are found to be lying.

USYS cleaned up the Ecnl teams at Crossfire this weekend and cu was pretty much the same as they always been....wouldn't be top 10 in Washington. Fcp is nowhere to be found and certainly nothing successful.

Face it, you still can’t give me the name of an OR girls club that competes better than CU! If you can’t, then give it a rest. End of story.

Face it. CU isn't the best at nearly every single age group and 4th/5th at some.

I don't need to name the whole state...

                            Sorry you got caught lying

Come to Oregon and see how you fare against the state clubs. Wait, you did for that for decades and were average, have you changed your DNA? Until then hide in the sky eating Nutz in coach.
