    Not surprising in the least.

JD will have to take some players from North, West and South..How else do you keep the sisters of the poor happy.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and current ecnl coach will not be back.. Lets see how JD will handle the u12 north team, who are far superior to the u12 united

Now you got it right. The ECNL team has to be good at all costs. MK must be busy with all the nervous 12 and 13 ECNL players. Boy you got to love capitalism!!!

He won't give up the 12's without a fight. That team is solid and he will fight for them. The 13's are already breaking apart as kids are getting called into ECNL. Such is the way of feeder teams, and I think he will need to fight to keep them. They will land on their feet, the question is will Stars organization allow MK to run his own business up North and keep all his players. Seems now they are separate from the rest of Stars

The 12's are his pride and joy. 13's not so much. I think they are a tough group to deal with.

A coach who fights to keep kids on his team when they have a chance at being promoted to ECNL is not putting the best interest of the player at the forefront. And a DOC who listens and succumbs to that BS is not putting the well being of the team or the club at the forefront. Regional teams are feeder teams. They should not be left in-tact for the sake of saving a coach's ego. Not saying it doesn't happen (I'm sure it does) but it's ugly and selfish.

U13s would beat stars ECNL 3-0 easily!

They have played and haven't beaten the ECNL team 3-0 so maybe not so easy. You can take all the shots you want at the U13 ECNL team but it won't change anything. Stars North girls play for Stars North and will, again have a chance (at tryouts) to try and make the team. ECNL team is made up of hardworking, good kids who enjoy playing soccer.

Sad, really that parents can't just attend games and watch their kids play. Does it make you feel better to thump your chest and talk about beating another team in your club?

Because ECNL is supposed to be the top team. And the 13s will get JD as a coach next year so there is a lot of opportunity there.

little fuel to the fire. There are plenty of girls on the north shore who are capable of playing ecnl. Matter of fact, two of our former players who left, are being asked to join ecnl. Fact is there are several players with us who are definitely better.. Other clubs have good players too!!!!

Given a choice, the U12s and I think the U13s will stay with MK. Why travel to Lancaster when we already have the best? If it does not work at Stars North and Stars tries to pull us apart, we can play together under another club. We have the ability to fund it ourselves. We all support MK and will do whatever we can to stay with him.

Why leave?? to get a coach who actually can teach the tactical aspects of the game. The 12s at one time were far far far and away the best team at that age. Teams are catching up and it is due to coaching. I will say MK does a good job but he is not nearly the best around. Ask Aztecs and World Cup. He thinks he is much more valuable than he is and clubs, parents and kids caught on.
