This follows the removal of Kydes as the Academy Director in the Spring when news of 'problems' began for Beachside when Kydes' outside for profit soccer training programs were commingled with Beachside's not for profit $ machine.

Brian Quinn and Pete Doneit are now the listed coaches for U-18/19 DA.

BS has never been more BS, but the first step to salvation is occurring, Kydes is being marginalized.
That old coach kills everything he touches

The sign of a great leader their ability to look beyond themselves and to put into place a system and the right people to ensure there is a thriving legacy well after their era.

Sports competition can show someone’s character it’s similar for a person in a leadership position. They have chance to display what their made of and what kind of person they really are. The legacy is not looking too impressive for Mickey but that way he wanted it, it was about him not Beachside. He always coached the team most likely to earn accolades(note the work for a successful team is usually done years earlier building a solid core and then end just polishing it up to shine. He always had to be personally mentioned and gushed over in any player accolades.

Instead handing the club off the next leader he has being ushered out the door, relegated to directing a branch premier team.

Competive and “successful” yes but person of great character not so much.

NE Soccer Journal - that bastion of fine soccer journalism - named Kydes one of the most influential people of soccer. Lmao....It also named genius Bryan Scales of the NE Revs (one of the worst run MLS programs ever) and Brian Ainscough of Boston Bolts, who got sh*tcanned from his job as Northeastern's Men's program for violating NCAA rules when he brought in his son, gave him preferred treatment, and helped destroy the program.

            Kydes done

As a former member of the club, and a family that has had interacted with MK for many years, I can tell you all without hesitation that the gradual removal of MK has the look and feel of a rehearsed and orchestrated move. MK has been wanting to leave the area for a long time, with intent to either coach at the MLS level (because now his club is relegated to a lower state with the MLS academies the top of the chain), or to take over at a Div I college program. MK sees what is happening at World Class, NYSC, and even OW, and knows he can no longer compete. OW has their own fields, NYSC has a new campus, World Class has their own amazing complex, and Beachside is getting kicked out of all their field rental space, or having fees jacked up making those rentals an ever increasing burden on the clubs finances.

Now that Paul is the head of the Academy there, and MK isn't even coaching a team, this plan looks to be unfolding. The damage done by the lost field and all the $ that was raised for it (I've heard from insider friends that some of that money has been spent already on last years field rentals and scholarships to retain players) was monumental. You just can't 'recover' from that last trust, and MK is responsible for it all.

The future of the club is unchanged, they will slowly become a tier 3 Club in the new BDA tiered structure whenever that is released/realized.

Hes never going to coach MLS or D1.
Not without taking some incremental steps outside of the youth soccer market, like assistant coaching in college or pros. Hes over 50, and always been his own boss. Running out to get the coffee should be an intetesting adjustment. Lol.

Heard that he has been contacted by new Hartford USL franchise - Hartford United - regarding head coaching position.

That would be a good first step. Then he has to have some success there over 3-5 seasons, before moving on.

                    It isn't easy.

Yes he might - someday. He'd have to work his way up the ladder like everyone else. Running a (now collapsing) youth club doesn't make you instantly eligible for either career path. Problem is he will think he can waltz in and get such a spot. Will his enormous ego allow him to take a piece of humble pie? I'm not so sure.

Yeah that's not going to happen.

                        - Mickey has zero experience coaching anyone over 18
                        - His last pro experience as player was 1996
                        - is tainted by the IRS Beachside issues

Screaming at scared teenagers isn't the same as coaching 24+ year olds.

Mickey Wants leave because even if he able to skirt around any legal issues he will never be able to do what he has done for the last 25 years. His personal bottom line will take a huge hit.

Twenty four year olds will tell him to f'off, especially if they don't respect his coaching skills. Outside of youth soccer its the results that matter, something he isn't accustomed to. And he won't have parents of mediocre players afraid to say or do something, letting their kids be treated poorly for $3000+ a year. After all, success is a choice ;)

Nobody outside the BS community even knows who he is or cares (the only people who care are those whos feelings got hurt), so what does it matter about irs issues. And, really, he can do whatever the f he wants with the cash as long as it is recorded and allocated correctly according to GAAP and IRS codes. The only issue is if he didnt pay his taxes and embezzled the cash out the side and not pay taxes. Is that what you are inferring? If they were jockeying for a deal and it blew up, it blew up. Too bad. If he was raising cash from accredited investors, this is a risk and they sign their life away looking for upside, and on the other hand he was doing raffles or whatever for cash. Tough. They can reallocate that cash wherever they want. Fundraising is not a "contact" with you for that dollar. Just sayin' BFD they didnt get a field. I dont care, my kid not there, but this nonstop drivel of made up sh*t is wearing thin. Just make something else up thats way more dramatic and interesting, because, in the end, you are just making this sh*t up anyway. Go watch Fargo or something and come back to us with some crazy plot twist to wrap up the "end of bs"... s are coming to get Mickey back and he can be with Elvis again. Thats way more interesting.
