So this is about MV SELLING TO NON-DA KIDS the promise of getting into OCDA.
PERFECT for that kid in NY/California/Texas who couldn't make Red Bulls/Galaxy/FCD and feels it's a HUGE injustice, and Daddy has big bucks to fix all that and make junior's soccer dream come true !! Same for local FL kids who got snubbed at Weston/Chargers/Kendall DA and doesn't mind boarding school close enough to home where Daddy and Mommy can drive up to watch his games. And also a great situation for wealthy S. American families who wouldn't want their kids mixing with the poor kids in the Academy dorms at Clubs in Argentina/Brazil etc. but love the idea of a chance at soccer stardom AND and an American education !!
And note the announcement reminds the local FL kids not to clog up the weekend tryout dates where the spots need to be available for those national and international kids flying into town !!
Those OCDA tryout dates for MV will be like Marriott selling timeshares at Disney properties !!

DA Guidelines
"The Academy firmly believes that the traditional open tryout is a highly flawed and ineffective model for player identification and evaluation. The expectation is that Academy clubs move to using a more systematic scouting model to identify and recruit new talents and invite these players to trial for an extended period with the current player pool. Clubs may not charge a registration fee for tryouts, which includes fees for equipment, apparel or etc."

The other clubs throw a fit when DA clubs try to recruit their players.
