We had 30+ coaches at our first game on Thursday and about 18 yesterday, been a very good turnout for our girls.

We had about 80 coaches over the weekend. Down from approx 130 last year. On TH we had about 40. Last year on first day, there over 80. More did stick around through Sunday though this year. Had almost 20 vs. maybe 5 last year.

Even Publix and the malls shut down on Thanksgiving and look what soccer has become. Respect a few clubs and colleges who made the decision to not do Disney at least on Thursday. Disney would get more attendance by clubs and colleges if it started the tournament on Friday. The argument is the players still have to travel on Thursday to start on Friday, however some teams in the southeast could head over after Thanksgiving. Playing on Thanksgiving day is just wrong.

So little talk about the actual tournament. Tiny interest. Low energy. Sad.

It is! And Disney could be great again if it made better decisions. Start the day after the holiday and run through Monday. Stop catering to DA who fooled Disney and sent second teams. DA clubs can have their second teams play the rest of the top teams and run games Friday, Saturday, Monday if they want to throw in a day off for rest or theme park team fun.

Did many US Club Soccer ECNL teams enter the Disney Showcase? We know the US Club Soccer NPL teams entered under the guise of DA.
