Clean up on aisle one! Clean up on aisle one!

Spin, spin, spin away you GPS minions. Post about your "children" being happy and that "you've seen no changes", as if you're parents of players rather than coaches working for the most vile company in all of youth sports.

    Hahaha! Nice one!

    Nobody believes your lies anymore.

      I'm not joking.

Is that the fake bayern club with the really bad reputation?

They've seen no changes because there are no longer any other non-NEP-cartel clubs with which to compare. No small clubs where your player can actually make a top team, and no longer any club where the DoC actually knows your player's name, and no longer any club where the club knows they win only if they make all their own players better (instead of just hoovering up all the players in the area).

        - a coach

p.s., My only point of disagreement with your post is that I would nominate gotsoccer as the most vile company in youth sports. All we who know the game stress that winning-at-all-costs hurts player development, and it should be done away with in favor of teaching the game. GotSoccer's ENTIRE BUSINESS MODEL is to track winning at all costs at all ages.

You are completely correct. GPS and GotSoccer are both vile, but GotSoccer is worse for the reasons you state.

This is very funny. Hard to say which is worse, GPS or gotsoccer. I think a dark shadow falls across the entire world when GPS and gotsoccer collaborate, which happens often enough. So wretched.

I agree on Gotsoccer. But coaches and parents make GotSoccer what it is. If we didn't make a big deal about it, it would not be popular. Its like porn, we're not supposed to look, but we do.
The first time I heard a coach talk about rankings and the importance of tournaments and winning to get higher in the rankings, I started the exit plan. I always come back to this question....how does this _____ make my kid better? Travelling out of state for a random tournament. Playing 3 games in one day in 90 degree weather. Selling raffle tickets. More often than not, it was about making the club bigger and better, not my kid.

                      1. If you want your boy to play division 1 or 2 college soccer, national team, or pro then:
Development academy or, at the very least, be on the top team of your club
                      2. If you want your boy to play college soccer at any school then playing on the top team of your club is a minimum. There will always be some school out there with a spot for your child.

If you want your kid to play at a top college school (1,2, or 3) then you have to be DA, or on the top team of a club that is a top club.....Believe it or not, Amherst, Tufts, Williams, Brandeis, Middlebury, Bates and the other UAA and NESCAC schools pull the best players from the best clubs.
Aside from Revs DA and Bolts DA, the top teams from NEFC, GPS (Mass, NH), Aztec, ? Stars are the way to go. Second tier might include Valeo, Nova, FCUSA.

Perhaps not surprisingly, club soccer in college has gotten very competitive!!!

Dude, you are so lost you might never get found. Thank for dropping that K-Bomb on us. Nova? Really? Lemme guess, your kids are in HS or have graduated and they didn't play meaningful soccer beyond HS.

So the Bradley brothers are finally gone....Wow! They made a great run and flames out in massive style. Legacy, and now Caldwell, will try and fix this absolute dumpster fire. But this thing is done. Travel around the states all you want. Bayern will pull out quickly. Absolute ****e show!!!

Nope... College sports for all and they had a great time. I have to admit, I really don't know much about Nova, Valeo, or FCUSA but looked at the state tournament and noted that they were decent. Fact is, regarding division 3 college soccer, players from these clubs can find a school to play at. If you don't think so then you are the one who might be lost.

As for any soccer outside of division 1....perhaps even most division 1.....what is 'meaningful soccer'? The kids play for four years and then they have to find meaningful employment. The most 'meaningful' thing that they can do is in regard to the academics and figuring out what to do when playtime is over.

                            What is the 'K-bomb'?

For years you and your ilk have criticized the Bradley brothers as the worst thing for youth soccer. Despite this, GPS has provided some great training and some great teams. Now they are no longer in charge. Shouldn't you be happy, or is it something that you just can't let go?

I predict that Caldwell will improve things. Perhaps even make it more affordable.
