There will be an announcement at noon today that the Chargers and some other minor clubs in Tampa Bay will work with the Tampa Bay Rowdies. They are basically giving in to TBU Rowdies USDA. This is a very desperate and bad move for the Chargers. They were losing all their USDA players so they had to make an announcement but this will hurt them really bad. They think they will be the feeder club to the Rowdies when they will become the feeder club to the TBU USDA teams.

TBU getting a full DA has hurt the CC big time, and would have been completely devastating to CC if they don't get off their arses and fix things. You can't fight demographics and CC is in a shrinking and aging market. They do not have good outreach in the latin community (welcome to US soccer) which is replacing the kids that have grown up in Pinellas and moved to Hillsborough, Pasco or Bradenton. The issue is that CC won't get off their arses and instead do silly things like this Rowdies partnership. Way to co-brand with your biggest competitor. CC should have locked down Pinellas County and Pasco County when they were still kings of the locale market, but instead have allowed themselves to be outflanked by TBU and now even Florida Premier.

Wait... they are running a woman's program with PCU? Does PCU have any women's teams older than U13?

Once CC found out that TBU was getting a full DA, they had to make a move. The problem is that is a bit too late for CC. They had the luxury of getting all the best players because they were the only ones who had a full DA. Now with TBU having a full DA and ECNL will soon destroy CC. It will be very interesting once April tryouts come!
