Scheduling of State Cup games

Teams in MA who participate in the USYS State Cup - how do they tend to schedule in the games? It looks like teams have up to 4 or more games - do they have 'double game' weekends, or try to play midweek? Do all age groups always have at least 16 teams competing?

I found the schedule for 2020. Teams play over 2 weekends in May. Does this conflict with league games - how is that resolved?
