You don’t have a problem with it? Are you kidding, it’s not voted on moron. Rapinoe got it because she’s the only one who could have gotten it. So dumb.

I don’t dislike Rapinoe because she’s gay or because she’s outspoken. Could really care less about either of those things. I dislike her because her celebration on the 12th goal against Thailand was bush league, not creative or expressive. Not the goal itself. Just the celebration. It was like pummeling a fighter who is unconscious on the ground. I don’t like her because she disrespects the country when she doesn’t stand with her hand over her heart during the national anthem and prior to being told she needed to stand, when she kneeled. I also don’t like her for her language when referring to the White House (which she has since apologized for), and for disrespecting the office of the President. I don’t like Trump, but the guy has a 50% approval rating which is higher than Obama’s was at the same time in their terms. Either way, the White House represents more than Trump. It represents the country. And these ladies also represent the country. It will be a disgrace if they don’t visit the WH as a US team. This isn’t some pro team or private college. Anyone who doesn’t want to represent the country shouldn’t represent the country. It’s that simple. The best player in the world sat this one out to make a statement. But ultimately, I don’t like Rapinoe because it is clear it is all about her. She could have thrown an olive branch for a conversation with the President about equal pay or equal rights for the LBGT community. Instead she made it about herself and will fade away into oblivion now that her 15 minutes are over.

It is possible to dislike someone for who they really are as a person rather than what they purport to stand for. It doesn’t make people racist or homophobic. Those are cop out terms. Rapinoe would be unlikeable if she was straight or a man or a minority. Sometimes a jerk is a jerk.

I never saw it that way.....you wrote this perfectly.....if she was smart and not let her personal feelings get in the way of smart business, she could have been a professional and obviously used the opportunity to discuss her issues face to face with the POTUS and probably get her message across...i guess rational thinking is not a virtue of radical left socialists.

There are a lot of whiny old women also. Hilarious how Megan Rapinoe, someone they profess to hate, has them all riled up.

This is an excellent idea. I

With most POTUSes this would be the preferred approach in trying to get a viewpoint or issue across. With most POTUSes this would actually be very productive. The problem is that our current POTUS is not rational himself. I doubt that Megan Rapinoe would be able to get her message across to him regardless of what tact she chooses.

Who is the best player in the world? Most pundits say that it is Sam Kerr of Australia and the Chicago Red Stars. She represented Australia at this World Cup.

Ada Hegerberg is the reigning Ballon d'Or winner and likely will win it again this year.

I stopped reading at the ridiculous quote of 50% approval rating. Where do you get that number? Among Republicans only? Fox News employees? Even that is a stretch if you’ve been watching lately. And something tells me you have.

Not the OP, but he must have rounded up? Not too far off though and climbing.
