It is? What happens if the older team is worse?

then they may not want to play up. nothing is every ever perfect in youth soccer. try to find a good option where your player can be challenged and improve and keep your expectations low.

That is the exception, and stop throwing roadblocks and give solutions, or go back to staring out the window and screaming at people to wear make while outside.

It is? WCFC best players over the last few years have almost all been non white.

Its not. Only in the USA do we have this dumb belief that the older the team the "better" . Parents are so desperate for signs that their kid is better than others and playing up is one of these myths. The solution is individual development. Stop benchmarking your progress to the kids you happen to be paired with because that is largely random. Players need to own their development and measure themselves vs their potential and aspirations. One size does not fit all

The ball does not know or care what a player looks like an neither should anyone else.

Problem with Albany is there are 7 Clubs that split a small player pool which results in none being able to field teams that can compete at an ECNL level. There are no ECNL/former DA teams closer than 2hrs from Albany. Kids that want to play at that level have to drive. Or try and piece it together with ODP, guest playing, ID camps, but that winds up being about the same at the end of the day.

Is what it is, and there have been many girls from the area over the years that played for WCFC, Stars or Quick Strike. Is what it is.

The question is never asked, but did it make a real difference to that players trajectory or outcome?

The ones that played at big programs would probably argue yes, the ones that didn’t may say no. It really comes down to the kid. If they are a starter on an ECNL team like WCFC or Stars, probably matters. If they are on a second team or end of the roster ECNL, probably not.

WOuldn't it be reasonable that if one of those clubs got access to top league it would aggregate (everyone's favorite word) talent and thus be able to compete?
