There is some very strong D3 soccer in our area. I am more familiar with the boys side, where some of the very top high school players in our state feature prominently. Expect another excellent run from Brandeis and Amherst. Williams will be very good again, as will Tufts. I'm sure Babson will be strong again. Wheaton could be very good. A bit out of area, Hobart, Rochester, St Lawrence, Union, and Vassar are good. Teams like Salve, UMass-Dartmouth, and Keene are decent as well, and of course other NESCACs like Midd, Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Trinity and Conn College.
Below is the final regular season 2012 women's New England poll:
1 Williams 12-3-2
2 Amherst 13-1-2
2 Middlebury 12-2-1
4 Brandeis 13-4-2
4 Bowdoin 11-3-3
4 Springfield 13-4-2
4 Wheaton (Mass.) 16-1-6
8 Westfield State 18-0-1
9 MIT 13-3-2
9 Roger Williams 12-6-3
9 Massachusetts-Boston 18-2-0
Also receiving votes: Castleton State, Gordon, Lasell, Lesley, Saint Joseph (Conn.), Western Connecticut State
Some questions for 2013:
Will there be some lasting impact from the Amherst "incident"?
Will MIT continue its strong performance of recent years after graduating a special class? Can Westfield finally break through against NESCAC/NEWMAC?
Are there any Mass frosh who figure to be game changers?
What other teams project to be strong in 2013?

Full disclosure, the ranking you posted was the NSCAA coaches poll which is chaired by Tim Moody at Roger Williams and uses no statistical data that the NCAA has and uses. The NSCAA is an opinion poll (who likes who, who dislikes who, who on the committee has an axe to grind, etc....) a farce at times. Example: 4 teams "tied" for the # 4 ranking. 3 teams strategically "tied" for the # 9 ranking.
The official NCAA Regional Advisory Committee final regular season poll from Oct. 31, 2012 is below:
