The only reason there is not as much drop off in subs is that you had to steal a few of JFC key players. It is not like anyone is getting developed and promoted making a difference. No matter, the team has moved from lower-mid tier to upper-mid tier ECNL tables. But still mid-tier with former JFC players in tow. And JFC has gone from lower-mid tier to lower table.

The team is progressing. Not top of the table yet, but definite potential. The combination of great players from both clubs is making a difference.

A serious club might demote the bottom 1/3 of higher ranked team roster and promote 1/3 of next team every year to keep a culture of competition alive. If a kid gets demoted, they can earn back the year after. The clubs don't have guts to deal with the parents and risk losing paying customer. Guess what? So what? If they quit, they quit. If Club A demoted kids move to Club B and vice versa, so what? If you keep promoting/demoting based on ability and regardless of parents "favored" status, the cream will rise to the top year by year. But the clubs cop out and take the easy path. Status quo with much less flak.

One was very small girl who could not compete at ECNL level physically, and the other was a questionable promotion from the year before. The demotions were unique situation to free spots for incoming JFC girls at tryouts, otherwise would not have happened. Let's be real.

If taking Ls and avg. 1 goal scored per game in region league play (excluding JFC) is progressing. I will give you that. Definitely a leg up on JFC. That group is in shambles avg. 0 goals scored per game.

4 demoted in one year is pretty significant. Starting at u13 there were promotions and demotions, albeit not as many as this past year. When it comes to questionable promotions, do the promoted players play a starting role on the team? Do they show their ability? If so, then not questionable.

There was only 1 promotion this past year and that happened after tryouts and after her parents got coach's wife a job. The year before there was 1 promotion that was questionable and she got demoted/canceled the next cycle. You act like there is a lot of movement. There isn't. Unless you are poaching from JFC. You can keep barking at the moon pretending there is a lot of development and movement when there really isn't. When the only girl left on team from the 2 promotions last 2 years is the one whose parents pulled some strings, that tells you all you need to know about FESA in general and that team in particular.

Most believe that was a genuine mistake on his part and good for him for recognizing that. Those parents had no pull, the players simply showed him in their performance where they belonged.

Team moms and dads kids usually get special treatment. They do it for a reason usually. Get close to the coach. Willingness to work for free. Lead the team in soccerathon donations.
