A better comparison would be the Armada boys showcase that just took place a few weeks ago, and looking at the teams for both....there’s really no comparison!

This has been a total DISASTER FOR FESA. There are barely any outside teamse. I do appreciate the email letting us know that we will get a 25 percent discount in our age group due to last minute outside team commitments that backed out. The part about them not wanting to play Volt was too funny. In a way the board shall be very upset that this Tottenham showcase has been nothing more than a PR nightmare for the biggest club in NE Florida. FESA had it coming to them.

It is not easy to start up a new showcase but someone must take the blame for failures. This is excellent preseason experience for the outside clubs coming in certain brackets where there are more teams. But again gotta start somewhere but how can the Board know if the directors are really working hard to make deals to bring in teams to play. Offer the outside teams a big discount for coming last minute to full open places in a bracket. Often it has to be a four way deal conversation if all four outside will commit will they all four register, or will FESA send teams to their tournament. Something is off when no outside Jacksonville or Orlando area teams are registered.

Until he has to go recruit guest players from Arkansas and Washington to try to win U18 girls ECNL Nationals instead of believing in his ECNL Composite or Palm Coast or Tallahassee players. FESA first only sometimes for Bubb.

FESA fails miserably in National Championships. FESA does not know how to use its own talent. The coaches always fudge up and bring guest players who can’t adapt to the team and end up putting regular players in positions they haven’t played even in practice. FESA has to be the WE it preaches.

The turnout for outside teams for the long established FESA fall preseason tournament was huge so why not a better turnout for this one?

The concept of a showcase with one game a day is much safer for the players. The fall tournament should be the same.
