Major announcements by clubs in GDA will begin at the end of this week when they all return from the CO showcase. This is going to get ugly.

    Yes, the announcements will begin.

As for the high level clubs rumored to be dropping (Real Colorado, Blues, Solar) our kids don’t play for them...so immediate impact to you?

Other than to stir the pot is zero.

The continued fear mongering and focus on what is supposed to be such a poor league is mind boggling. Clubs will drop, announcements will come on, and the sun will rise tomorrow.

See you back here Thursday as you slap your belly and give each other high five’s praying for the demise of a league, causing stress to others, just so you can say you were right and that ECNL is better. Does any of this make your daughter play better or give her a better chance of playing in college? Of course not...but whatevs.

There is no glee over drop outs from gda. There is lots of frustration that the gda is not delivering. The problems they carried on about are real but they then they launch a league that does not fix the problems. So now girls youth soccer is a bigger mess then when they started. Instead if addressing any of the continuing issues with ecnl, we just have a second over priced watered down league. Yuck

Ouch...hit the nerves. Yes those teams will impact the expensive traveling events. You will pay so much to play GPS, aztecs, NEP caliber teams. Funny how panic is settling in...NEFC fire engine dpt putting out some fire. No one of significance is left in DA. Everyone knows this.

If they want to gain control then limit national pool kids to da only clubs. It truly only affects a handful of players but I bet 50% of parents think it’s more. You’d also get, hypothetically and eventually, the bulk of top players. I know....it’s not fair...wah

This is really the problem. They went and took a problem and made it worse. They're ultimately going to have to fold up the tents, and when they do they'll have emboldened ECNL that the status quo is great. Totally shamobolic result to come.

There definitely were issues but they went about solving them all wrong, as has been beaten to death on many threads. If they don't chop off the dead wood quickly the league won't last.

Agreed. The ECNL money mongers can’t see through their own greed. Giving one more license to another club other than themselves (that’s you Stars) in the MA RI NH ME area would change the game and club soccer scene in NE.

Scorps have it. Go there or Stars so you can compete.

Having two ECNL clubs with three teams between them in the same state an hour apart doesn’t provide reasonable access for the other four states in the region.

                        Triggered much?

As has been explained to you numerous times, on a site called Talking Soccer, people are going to, you know, talk about soccer.

If you're going to continue to cry every time someone posts anything that doesn't sing the praises of GDA, you're going to want to invest in some Kleenex. Not everyone loves GDA. Not everyone cares that they can do no wrong in your opinion. It doesn't mean you and your D still aren't super duper special. You are. But the grown ups are talking so settle down.

Ah yes! I love this trick. Any time someone is saying something that offends you, call them "obsessed". Much more effective than intelligent debate. Don't forget "creepy" too. Another favorite among the crowd!

Let's try being more constructive. Anyone think GDA will change any rules to compete with ECNL, like HS or sub rules?
