Nobody would ever aspire to be the ONYX they did nothing on the field of play during competitions that was even considered a regional or national achievement. Any club in Oregon can sign up to be fodder in the US Club ECNL that's quite a goal.
Other clubs from Oregon have won the ole US Club (nat cup/npl) tourneys and it was about as tough as winning the Beaverton cup or LO Cup...whoopee.
Girls have been getting chances to play college soccer for decades from singular club teams in Oregon. It's a byproduct of Title IX nothing more, nothing less.Comment

Onyx has certainly seen success in ECNL. There 1st 2 years qualified for the Champions League and finished ranked in the top 25 teams in the country. I think there are a lot of local teams that would love to have been in their shoesOriginally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

The team enjoying to play together is important, however that's not what matters here. You do not travel all the way to Indiana for the NPL finals for juice boxes and goody bags. The goal is to win. A true competitor admits when they lost and uses that to propel themselves forward instead of making excuses such as we lost our goalie and haters are going to hate.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post
The team did well in bracket play against teams like Scottsdale with a national ranking of 415, and other teams like City FC with a ranking of 661, which GPS should have beat and did, but when this team faced real competition it was not able to be successful. It's not a cut on the team or the players or coaching but is simply the reality of the situation.
