I agree with you, but at the same time, if a kid earns an honor, they should get it. Shouldn’t be because a coach is on a committee or pushes harder. It should be about the best players. Which this list clearly is not.

Again, get over it. Your kid didn't get it. And what makes you an expert? Some things in life aren't fair. If they're a junior there's always next year.

All these awards list have some deserving and some here and there that are undeserving on them. I tend to think that they get it right for the most part. With that said, there are some excellent players playing on crappy HS teams that are left out in the cold on some of these lists. Unfortunately for them, 1 player can not turn a team into a playoff contender, especially in some of the tougher leagues like the FCIAC, SWC, etc.

I can’t say much about the girls but Jessica Mazo is a real BAAAALLER....I had know idea of the level she was at until I saw her up close at a high school game.

She made the All American game played this past weekend. That’s the only completely objective All American team. All other AA teams are based on a high school coach nominating their own players to fill a quota of slots.

If Jess Mazo didn’t have Jack N as her high school coach she would nearly be all state. Immaculate has all Americans every year that stink. The only bonafide All AmerIcan is the GK from North Branford.
