Your individual tax pennies, because that's all it is, would only fund athletic scholarships for the few foreign athletes playing at your state schools. All other schools are private and you're not paying for it. While athletes are in the country they contribute to our economy eating out, getting apartments (some), shopping - and paying sales taxes.

College players are looking for path to education 1st, the international players also there for education, and to find an American spouse.
