It’s a pretty closed club. No one is being moved on. Susa generally happy with their staff performance

Thank you captain obvious! They can be happy with their staff performance all they want but not having the members support your staff and leaving or not drawing the numbers needed hurts the bottom line. Wow, some deep thinking from this poster.

Yeah, but it's not really hurting the bottom line...to read these posts from earlier this year someone would think half my kid's team was leaving. Who "heard" this and who "heard" that. Meanwhile, 1 kid left the team to play lacrosse and there were 10 kids jockeying for her spot before tryouts even started. The ECNL badge is a mighty carrot to dangle and as long as they have it AND have teams performing well AND have kids committing to good schools, they'll always be a draw. Albertson and EMSC tap danced along for over a decade with the same complaints, and for every crop that moved on -another one grew by the next season.

Slammers will take over EM and Alby's spots as biggest challanger.

Not without top league affiliation, which just isn't going to happen. Leaving out the obvious that Susa is listed as an ECNL club out of SMITHTOWN NY, the Smithtown Kickers as a club isn't big enough and doesn't have the history of success to even get the decision makers at ECNL to even open an email from them.
And don't think for 1 second that the Slammers folks are going to stick their necks out. Partnering with a club that will undoubtedly perform well in a 3rd-4th tier league (USYS EDP) is one thing-a safe bet that will continue to gloss their brand. Pushing to get a club that posts mediocre results in a 2nd-3rd tier league (NPL now ECRL) into ECNL is a whole different ballgame. And sure you can bicker whether EDP is better than NPL but the bottom line is ECNL clubs are playing their 2nd tier teams in NPL now ECRL and their 3rd tier teams in USYS EDP, so that's how they're looking at it.

The dark horse to be watching in all of this is LISC. Off to a rocky start no doubt, but could end up being the LI GDA destination club.

They are making the right noises and run by decent people. Which is completely the opposite of 99.9% of people who come on this board ;)

They are first and foremost a business so never forget that but if they operate even slightly above average they should be fine. There is zero competition in Nassau county for customers that expect even a minimal dose of integrity. Don't know if they have much. Probably not. But no one else seems to have any at all.

The biggest issue LISC faces is lack of talent. You can have all of these great coaches and trainers, but you can only take a player so far when their fundamental ability is what it is. They got very lucky with the 2004 age group because across Long Island that age group is pretty strong, there was plenty of talent to go around, throw in some Kurt Kelly abandonment, some Paul Riley neglect and a few great finds out of the RR program and poof! You have a solid team!
The younger age groups don't look as promising...

We live in Nassau and are new to LIsC. I can tel you we WILL be expecting integrity. It may seem early to say this but we are seeing some things that if they continue will be a problem for our daughter and others on the team feel the same. Seeing these issues less then a month after signing up is a disappointment. We are hoping things get better Quickly

SUSA promoters responsible for Porn threads

I guess the SUSA promoters are behind the porn threads, since they are clearly now trying to get this thread removed.

I hope the moderator picks up on this and also realizes its either Susa or LM from BOTN dropping this sleaze in this forum.

The moderator can remove the post doesn't need to remove the thread.
