We were at Clash. Not crazy about playing underneath power lines at Harmony, but games were competitive, officiated well, and the tournament staff is Uber organized based on our experience.

So for a thread devoted entirely to this tournament, it is pretty disappointing that after the first day of play nobody has posted a thing. Just to throw it out there, in the 06 super group ADF beat OPFC 3 to 0. And the OPFC was their DA team last year. At 05, Cuervos tied with Wash Timbers DA team from last year. So say what you want about how DA teams are going to return to OYSA and spank the competition. Early indicators would say a definite no. They may do well, but it isn't going to be a boat race.

Relax, it’s summer tournaments families are on vacation and I know several teams mentioned are not at full strength. The 05 comments are a bit premature. Let the next couple days play out before you run your pie hole farmers. Westside will destroy the crows and ADF if and when they play and opfc, westside, FC PDX and UPDX 05’s will be the class of the 05 field this year....

Looking at some scores looks like a great experience for lower level teams losing 10-0.

Maybe that is why Clash is so popular over Capitol. I seem to recall last year Clash, Capitol and Tigard 6v6 was the same weekend.

Capitol has some parking issues at one of their venues. There was a softball tournament and some kind of city event. Heard some complaining about "no drop off" at their main venue so they had to pay 10 bucks just to drop their kid off when they weren't staying.

Not Clash but spent the day at Capitol Cup. I have a player who was refing and a few others that are guest playing.

A U19 girl from CFC broke her leg and it was pretty nasty.

Cascade Rush was wearing GPS jersey's. I think that will get some people excited. Their parents were a little crazy.

Capitol is junk by any standards.

You have a lot of open brackets and there are 10-0 socres. Some teams are probably just hopeful they get 1 competitive game. More reason Clash will grow. Bigger the tournament, more likely you can get placed.

CFC has, for example, there 06 A team playing up in the 05 bracket and so playing against their 05 B team.

That’s horrible. At least it wasn’t from a violent tackle and someone else’s fault though. Doesn’t take away from what sounds like a very very bad break though. Was this on grass or turf?
