Please do not tell is that Danny Boy Tidmarsh who lied about his USSF coaching badge level is taking over. Someone needs to investigate his credentials. DT is a con artist with impeccable gift to gab also known as Bull Shi-ting

Owner just needs to sell the club. Would be much better for the franchise and soccer in the city as a whole.

The lack of leadership and delivering on potential to be a truly dominant program is sad. It could have been so much better even despite all the petty local ego fighting amongst clubs. The owner of the pro team casting the youth program aside is a sad.
The club currently has some issues to resolve for sure, but it could still end up in a decent spot.
But...I see the vultures are circling, they badly need an influx of talent on their under achieving teams.

FSA was week to week with funds to pay coaches and complex cost 7 years ago and now OCYS is week to week with finances once again. Who will they blame now?
1- 7 years ago this Board and club was in need of rescue
2-Last 7 years this board allowed control to slip away
3- here we are again
Bailout time and blame game time once again.

The boys DA is a different animal due to MV, but intial feedback hasn't been bad at all.

Getting onto the DA team will be based on merit, not bank account. I believe it is only going to make the OC DA much stronger, which is already evident. The kids that are on the OC DA, over 90% will be going to regular public schools but they have use of all the Monteverde has to offer. Top notch facilities, top coaches and training. It seems to be a win win.
REALITY:
1. On U17 and U19 teams TODAY the number of players from MV are already more than the 10% figure you suggest will be the case next year. MV player numbers are highest at U19, with 4+ already on team and 4-5 more training and wearing OC purple polos on the bench at the matches.
2. The number of kids from MV will only increase at U15-17-19 next season. MV will be looking to attract more paying students with the allure (and for the top ones, the PROMISE) of DA. REMEMBER: MV is FOR PROFIT and took DA on only because of the ability to use it to increase their ability to attract top soccer players and increase their stats on college scholarships earned and pro opportunities for MV grads. (By the way, legacy OCDA class of 2018 has a MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE college soccer commitment list than MV: OCDA players heading to UNC, Portland, NC State, and others, while MV is sending 2 kids to Pittsburgh and 1 to some obscure D1 school.)
3. So compared to tryouts a year ago, legacy OC players and hopeful local newcomers will be competing for spots against (A) MV kids already on the DA roster this year, (B) current MV boarding students not yet on DA (40+ kids) and (C) new recruits to MV drawn by the opportunity to play in a DA.
4. MV coaches have blatant profit motive and bias to roster and give playing time to the kids who board there and train in AM practices with them.
So good luck staying at MV-run OCDA next year as part of what you think is a "protected 90%! Meanwhile, we will happy at another DA
