    Medicare pays $100
That was best solid info I could get on a standard amount.

Trump rescinded an order that mandated insurance companies pay for tests required for back to work (will probably do the same for any back to school testing also). Now you're on the hook if you don't have insurance, and copays etc if you have it. No tests = no problems, right? The Feds are also closing 13 federally sponsored testing sites

I don’t take issue with either.
If a employer wants to test you to come back to work, the employers can pay for it. Kind of like a drug test for employment.
The fed can close their sites. States can now take over. Feds still footing the bill for now, but that will likely dry up too.
CT’s testing numbers had been poor because of the lack of demand.
The last week has had a lot of testing because of the employees being tested to return to work.

Several of the sites they closed are in hot spot areas. Bad time to shut down. Lines at test sites for days, labs overwhelmed. Feds should keep helping until they aren't needed. We aren't there yet.

I think Fall sports will be canceled. The HS's need to control what they can control...and they can't control cross contamination during sports...particularly the contact sports like football.

How about the medium and low risk classified sports? Why can’t those go on?

School districts will use Covid as a way to save money. Also why risk the unknown for the fall sports to play ? Wait for the vaccine or treatment to be found and be safe. No high school sports this fall

I think much will depend on how the numbers look as it gets closer to school starting. If cases are ramping up, no way for sports. If numbers remain under control they may have it but with a 2-3 week delay to assess how the start of school goes.

Tennis, golf, etc ... why not. Soccer is a contact sport and not a low or even medium risk for transmission.

Thanks for your assessment but CIAC has already listed soccer as medium risk.

The current plan doesn’t call for that however. Currently HS soccer may begin on 8/27.

There will be no soccer or any other school activity this fall. There will probably be no school. We are heading towards another prolonged shut down where we will all need to stay at home and only go out in emergency situations. This thing is not over. We are all in grave serious danger of getting sick. Nothing is worth us being completely healthy. It doesn't matter if kids go to school, it doesn't matter if there's rising mental health issues from staying at home with little contact, it frankly doesn't matter if the economy craters and 50% of the population is unemployed. What matters is that we are all safe in our homes for as long as it takes for this thing to end. Whenever that is.

Oh, oh, one flew over the cuckoo's nest here.

CDC estimates 25,000,000 Americans infected. 130,000 deaths and a 0.6% death rate. Stop watching CNN. This is not a deadly virus for 99% of those infected

Norwalk already had to shutdown their summer school session for a few days (deep clean) because a student tested positive. That's either a limited number of students AND cases well under control in the state. Now try to envision school in the fall with a full student body, faculty and staff. Worse if cases start to go up again. I'm not saying it's right, but you can easily see how things might go when you're dealing with the teacher's union, school administrators and a few very vocal parents in freak out mode. My wife is on some Moms of xxxx FB page for our town and said the crazies have come out of the woodwork in the last few months.
