    USA vs Panama Concacaf

    The USA/Panama Concacaf

Though Panama outshot the USA 25-5......
The US team missed 3/5 penalty kicks, one of which was a good save by the Panama goalie.
The US simply could not convert much from the back-line to the front.

Who cares. The game meant NOTHING. US can still qualify for the Confederations Cup if they win their playoff

If we only let poor kids play soccer, none of this would happen.

The game means nothing if the US actually outplayed the other team and was great throughout. That was not the case by any means. Panama, a country known for a Canal, its Jungles, that fact that it was invaded by the US in 1989, outplayed the US team for 90 minutes until the two sides had an exciting no-goal overtime period.
Then, the US fell well below expectations by converting 40% of their penalty kicks, while the professional average is 90%.

It is one thing to lose a well played game, but another to watch another team play.
