Once you ask for permission to talk to other teams, your career is basically over at your current school. As for sitting, I believe that is only if you switch teams within the same league.

Yes but it is a formality when a player already has definitive move arrangements / to learn the ins/outs of transfers just look at current USC team as there are examples there, another jump from SDSU to USD who redshirted prior year which is often the case. The thing is if you are the best player on your team and never leave the field one might think you would want to stay with the only reason to transfer maybe being a true shot at a National Title. Who knows, maybe BC gets there and buts the Northeast on the map.

True. My niece has a Nat'l title in another D1 sport. Even the manager rec'd a ring and a jacket too. Why not? They are part of the team.

4 doesn't mean plenty. I do see plenty that were not impact players for their teams transferring. It happens. Kids transfer. Pretty crappy though if the BC coach built around her and this is the thanks she gets.
SC to Penn is a head scratcher though. Must have been for academics.

The CAA rookie went from a team not going to NCAA's; so understandable. But wonder how she likes getting a bunch of minutes to an average of 10, if she gets in. #Humblepie

Not sure what OP's point is besides being argumentative. First he says when is the last time an impact player transferred, then he defines impact, then is presented with list according to his own criteria, then rips it apart. What happens pre and post xfer are too very different things. SC could go somewhere and see her minutes and stats decrease significantly.

All the conjecture on a rumor aside it seems obvious that when you take an outlier and put her with a team of similar talent it makes the whole greater. This particular player isn’t one who gets lost in the shuffle if this hypothetical transfer happens. That is of course depending on how well coaching manages what they have.
