    Good night Beachside and Oakwood

    Big changes in DAP

Starting next year USSF will divide the DAP program into three tiers:

    MLS clubs
    Best of non-mls clubs
    Remainder of non-mls clubs

          Mr Dillweed is back.

I didn't start this thread but yes that was posted and now buried in the BS thread. This supposed move has much bigger ramifications beyond just BS. Now, whether or not it's true or even a workable plan is another story. It would be great to have promotion/relegation but they'd need more clubs in the system to make travel workable. Given USS seems mostly concerned with market share and squeezing out other leagues I can see them expanding, quality be dammed.

Fox is fair and balanced. CNN on the other have become a bunch unhinged snowflakes.

Beachside will not have academy status within the next 2 years. They discourage players from going to play at nycfc and mls does not need beachside. Only question now is how many clubs lose the status. Beachside done for sure

Absolutely not. USSF is in a fight to maintain dominance and market share. They'll add more clubs, not ditch ones they have. BS will be just fine in the land of DA mediocrity

I agree. DA can not make all these new clubs permanent members. Likely try to make the non-MLS clubs a sort of farm system for the MLS academies. In the original model non-MLS teams were on same playing field as MLS teams except one was free. Now you will not have that. However, this is not good for either group. MLS academy teams will have to travel alot more or play fewer games. non-MLS teams will not be able to sell themselves as true DA teams. Could be a big shift back to high school teams for these clubs.
