Ok, GDA Daddy. Please tell us what your precious snowflake plans to do if her HS team makes a deep run in the post season and the playoffs overlap with her GDA schedule.

I'm guessing the "lunatics" at USSF might care if she blows off her academy responsibilities for a few weeks to play for her school. She won't care, of course, since you taught her she can do whatever she wants and the rules don't apply to her. Way to go, Daddy.

I am guessing you don't have much room to debate parental skills with anyone rec daddy. Judging from your rantings here, you probably toss few back every day after work; get angry because your dinner is not ready on the table and scream at your family because someone got the promotion at work that should have gone to you. Your kid will be suspended (or worse) by USSF if she misses 5 academy games to play for her high school team. She made a commitment to her academy team and will soon willfully renege on that commitment.

If she continues through life with the overly-entitled attitude you have taught her, she's in for a lot more "limiting of her opportunities" in the future. Great parenting, GDA Daddy.

How many DA games missed and the DA punishment is not for you to concern yourself with stop acting like anything the DA may or may not do will affect the HS games. The DA could say tomorrow that playing HS is just fine and there is nothing you can do or say about it. The DA will handle their players as they see fit.

Because they don't care what happens outside of the DA season. No one does outside of a few lunatics like you.

At GDA tryouts it was a full year program except summer. Then they declared a rest period for GDA players to rest and recover. Then they had to clarify when the GDA regular season was over. Then they had to clarify when spring training begins again and that GDA players must show up for practice. The GDA players are clearly making their own rules and having GDA follow along. When there are no consequences then all the GDA girls will expect to find a way to play high school like the few rebel girls who started this mess for GDA and high schools.

USSF should have a serious consequence for the girls who do not come back in late January because they are playing high school soccer like missing their next showcase. The GDA players who did the ODP event could not play in the GDA showcase at Lakewood Ranch. For playing high school soccer over GDA training, the penalty should be much higher for those girls.

Actually they do care very much. Their first issue arose when they grandfathered in HS, but they didn't have much of a choice. Secondly, HS is played at different times in different parts of the country. As USSF doesn't care about HS they would have no knowledge about this issue in what seems to be just one state, or at most a handful.

Remember 'grandfathering' high school meant the players did not need a waiver but had to let their club know they were playing for the start of the high school season till the end of playoffs with no GDA participation at all. As you can see these few players and their daddies and their GDA clubs/coaches and their high school coaches have colluded to change the whole intent of what GDA meant by 'grandfathering in'. U.S. Soccer never meant for the player, high school and GDA club to collude so the player could start playing after the showcase and then play until the playoffs were done. Geez if a player was in trouble for doing ODP over Thanksgiving then these high school GDA girls coming onto teams high school teams now and even the GDA clubs should have a severe consequence for letting it happen.

US soccer DA and GDA preliminary schedule for 2018-2019 shows only a mid December to second week January break.... plus the 04 and 03's will be entering High School and already arent playing school sports... nothing needs to be done , HS for the girls will be just like HS for the DA boys... a non factor

That is a similar schedule to 2017-18 and nothing will be different next year but worse because the players are clearly in control without consequence.

No, ussoccer created a semi mess by ending the “first half” of the GDA season mid November and not re-starting up til end of January - the 03s and up played a weekend for the showcase , nothing more. Lots of free time with no weekend games so some older girls decided to play HS.

If the post is true , makes all the sense in the world. Showcase in December April and June and games every other weekend sounds good. You only improve by playing what u learned during training. Very simple concept
