FSA = too big to fail. They'd have to lose a huge number of players to start struggling with the mortgage payments. They do decently enough and have the ECNL badge. There's always a fesh rotation of new families year in and year out. It would take a huge scandal or a just a dive off the quality cliff to see that happen. If they lost the girls ECNL badge that would be HUGE. But ECNL isn't really kicking clubs out right now and with FSA having ECNL boys it's unlikely to happen.

Their girls ECNL teams have not taken the deep deep dive off of the quality cliff? They are horrific across the board.

Not much a dive vs the old S+ teams. They're largely in the basement now but ECNLL won't boot them any time soon. The NPL teams are even worse - I think that's where they'd see the biggest losses. NPL is distant #3 league now and the costs and travel are hard to justify given the quality of coaching and less exposure. This year they really screwed up not going to FL - that cascaded into shoving out NPL teams from another tourney to make it up to the ECNL teams. ECNL still has enough draw to keep families writing checks but not the B teams.

Except neither have professional affiliations and on the grand scheme. FSA is a facility and OW is a club always on the cusp.
