Sporting pops up in a lot of threads, as there's a lot of interest. And, the Sporting thread itself is lively. Sporting is a good alternative and there's a lot of buzz about the club. Even the trolls keep the interest going. You should at least check this club out for a reasonable alternative to the "big 3."

Am not an intern, but it wouldn't do you any harm to take a real look at the club. I think you'll find it's a decent soccer environment with, perhaps, less of the stuff you don't like about the OW-FSAs of the world.
Boys teams which serve a very small niche of boys in CT are most definitely top dogs in CT.
OW girls side is neck and neck with FSA for second place. Miles behind CFC.
Do not be so sure. OW boys teams are likely the best in state, but I would love to see composite teams from FSA play them. I bet both games would be very close. Other clubs can play soccer too you know, stop listening to Rick and Dave spout off ... that is merely creative marketing on their part (similar to Juicy Juice espousing the healthy aspects of their sugary drinks that actually have a little "fruit juice" in them).

Saw a few Sporting teams when my kid played lower level club. Even at that level Sporting teams were nothing special. Like most mid level clubs the better players quickly move on, as they should. Sporting may be perfectly "fine" but the fact that they constantly post about themselves also indicates management is whack and insecure. That alone is a reason to stay away. The Vale bashing since the split also isn't a good sign. A club that does it's job well doesn't need to try and artificially prop itself up on an anonymous chat site.

Yeah, because CFC, FSA, and OW loons never post here. With such a small home base, the fact that they have so many kids that move on to far larger regional clubs is an indication of that:
a.) They are doing something right developmentally?
b.) Other clubs they move to are doing something wrong developmentally?
