A perfectly fine option for younger kids, lower level teams and it's local. Ulittles don't need to cross state lines to play soccer.

You sound like the same douche criticizing AC on another thread. Why do you hate the idea of kids playing soccer so much?

Agreed. It’s a nice way to start the season for most teams that haven’t practiced together yet.

Great tournament, well organized and an awesome way to start season. To some of Ct Elites don’t come play as Fairfield Premier is good and would give ECNL and NPL teams all they can handle. Maybe one day local clubs will want to play each other again for right to say “we’re #1”. One this has to change though, Clubs need to lose the “we have nothing to win” mentality. Oops I was dreaming!

Bottom line is the tournament is great for younger kids on travel teams that want to get in some games before the fall season starts against some quality opponents. Girls play one day, boys play the other. Event is well organized and it's enjoyable for those that want to participate. They always get a good turnout of teams and it sounds like they will be closing brackets shortly. FWIW, my daughter enjoyed playing in this tournament when she was younger and on a balanced team.

FAST is canceled. The guy who started it 15 years ago when it was called the Fairfield Jamboree was just arrested for contaminating the fields.

It's more about some of the fields being closed or still being tested and not being able to find alternatives sties on such notice. there are concerns that this louse sold fill to other towns and now some of their fields need to be tested too. If field closures continue FUSA and other clubs will be scrambling for replacements.

It's too bad - it's a nicely run smaller event, well supported. Clean up will cost a lot. Hope the guy rots in jail for a good long while.

Farmington should open up their tournament to participants that got screwed in the FAST debacle.

I like the idea cooperation, so rare in CT soccer. But FAST tends to be younger and have more travel teams. It's also one day per gender. Might not be feasible to have teams play both days if families made plans around one.
