No doubt several also dropped out, transferred or were already cut. The 2019 recruiting announcement went out in December 2018 so no one was caught off guard just last month.

Soon as SHU gets rid of the previous coaches players the program will be flying. Look at the level of players coming into SHU now. Much better than before.

Always tricky when a new coach comes in. There are new coaches at FU, SHU and Yale. Also Seton Hall and Iona in the area. UConn is new too but she was in the program already. Serious question. What’s the right approach for a new coach? Try to clean house? Be patient and slowly turn the roster over? Or over-recruit? Obviously the first will bring hard feelings right away, but might be the best over the long haul. Rip the band aid off if you will. The problem with the second is that you might not survive long enough to turn it around if the school isn’t patient. The 3rd way is sure to provide long term headaches from lack of PT.

These days coaches aren't given much time to prove themselves. There's little time to marinate and see how it turns out. Most will clean house quickly to build their own rosters.

This will always be a risk for players. An underperforming coach can get canned. A good one can get an offer up the career ladder and leave. Yet another reason to 1) love the school above all wise 2) don't burn bridges in case you have to make some phone calls

33 players on conn college roster. 4 keepers. What a joke. For a guy who barely is conversational he must send emails.

Most rosters have 3 GK and 4 isn't uncommon. Unless you're pretty certain you can displace the starter you should look elsewhere. 33 is on the high side but not completely out of norm. Cold hard reality is a lot of college players don't play or play very little. Chose your program carefully or be willing to trade lack of PT for the quality of the school.

But my kid got an athletic scholarship for $100 to a D1 school ... All we have to do now is pay the other 65 grand. But she is on scholly!! We are validated.

Maybe they have a JV/Frosh team too

At FU or SHU you could tell them that they will each play 1 half every game😀

they're good coaches over there and they've certainly brought in talented kids, it just helps to be connected. 21 kids though for an incoming class?

What’s it called at Yale? Didn’t SHU beat them last year? Lol

CT college soccer is not good. CCSU had the best year and lost to UConn, who were terrible. QU were average, but lost to St Peters is is traditionally one of the worst programs in the country. Yale lost to SHU, who had a bad year. FU might have been the worst out of them all. UB great for D2. SCSU should be good this year.

Yeah, but they graduate with a Yale degree.
