Originally posted by Unregistered View PostRight now FC Delco don't have enough kids for most of the ECNL RL teams. (former NPL). Most teams don't even have 15 kids, some don't even have enough to field a team. They also have the same problem for their ECNL teams which then brings them back to having to use kids from different teams to field enough for the ECNL teams so they don't forfeit games. As a club, they will be lucky to finish the 2019-20 season.

Maybe not to the same extent Delco will need to do, but if the trend at bucks continues, they are probably 1-2 years behind Delco. The big question is since ecnl probably waited to long to boot Delco and they are now at risk of forfeiting games, will ecnl get spooked and pull the trigger on bucks sooner because they won’t want to repeat their Delco mistake.

There is a solid player pool at FC Bucks, just poor performance from the DOC and coaching staff. Improve the coaching and leadership, and FC Bucks will bounce back. If players and parents are happy because the product is good, people won't leave and players will come from other clubs to play ECNL. At this point there is no way ECNL will pull the plug on FC Bucks.

Bucks is fine and has a long history with ecnl. They are ok. But delco has some real worries.

In my experience, I would say yes it is worth it. My kid is playing at a school that would have never seen her without ECNL. The amount she is getting is well beyond the few years of travel we did for soccer. Plus we have traveled all over the US and met some very nice friends along the way.

So word on the street is FC Bucks and FC Delco will be supporting a joint venture, and merging the their ECNL programs. The new club will be called FC Mediocre.
