Of all the teams accepted into the 2014 R1 Premier League, boys and girls, only 1, yes ONE, is from CT. Goes to show you how times have changed!

they had to be embarrassed playing in the long island travel. even in the watered down region one premier league, they are probably middle of the pack at best and have no chance of winning the league and getting the auto bid to regionals. it must have been a tough pill to swallow to be an arsenal u14 parent this year. Last yrs U14 team had a lot of talent come in and had the cfc united tag. They ended up with a lot of representation on the united team. Next yrs U14 team has the ecnl jr tag. They don't have as much talent as last yrs and are known to give cheap dirty fouls, but have had some success because they are athletic and bring pressure. just like the stock market, past performance is no guarantee of future success when you are choosing a club, especially if they have a revolving door at coaching, ie a one and done JO come in for one year to work with a talented team and then leave the branch.

Looks like SCP will be playing in northeast premier league in three age groups. My question is can they pass the requirements and not get fined?

Rosters
All teams must demonstrate a continuity of roster from the previous year to the current year. To demonstrate continuity of roster, a minimum of 51% of the players from the team's previous year roster must be on the team's current roster. Any team that does not meet the continuity of roster requirement will be fined $2000 and will be automatically removed from the league. Teams that are new to the league must submit their roster with their League Application

Your post is misleading. Go back and re-read the R1 website. The continuity of roster only applies to teams re-upping from last year.

Your post is misleading. Go back and re-read the R1 website. The continuity of roster only applies to teams re-upping from last year.

Well, if Mass T-S says it, then it absolutely has to be true. LOL. As for #3, there isn't a U15 Arsenal team (absorbed into ECNL/NPL United and Chelsea teams I believe). The U14 Sound team is actually run by the Arsenal branch along with RK's U17 team. Sound confusing? It is to me too, but JO still works technically in the Arsenal branch and oversees goalkeeper training in addition to that team.

Why wouldn't SCP sent the U13 team? I thought they were good?

Why wouldn't the wolves or another strong CT team that is not in one of the other regional leagues also consider this option. I thought that these regional leagues tried to double up games at locations with morning and afternoons so having a second CT team would make sense.

Why wouldn't SCP sent the U13 team? I thought they were good?

Academica, Wolves, and Sound are better clubs still in CJSA. Not sure what the criteria is to be "accepted". Does seem like a good move for their program. New field and new league couldn't hurt with keeping players.

New Field COULD hurt if you happen to live west of New Haven.
