I heard CCSL is taking anyone into its league. It sold itself as “an elite” league with like minded clubs. Now they are accepting any level town program, what’s next Rec Program?

My son plays in this league and it so watered down, no competitive balance across the board.

We actually had better compositing at u11 in CJSA Travel A league.

CJSA should be our states travel league and CCSL should be the states premier league.

Town premier teams can external CCSL only if they win A division of CJSA Travel. Also, should a town program finish last in league they get relegated back to CJSA Travel league.

Our state players deserve better leagues!
They should follow the same path as Massachusetts. The travel teams play in local leagues while the premier teams play in NEP or NSL. Connecticut is too small of a state to have to premier leagues, it won't work.

Sorry CJSA. You snooze you lose. Once your house of cards collapses we'll have more than enough to split the groups and have relegation like you did in your heyday.

Ding ding ding. there's a light on over at 11 executive drive. 2nd floor. it's not often that they are on, but on this windy morning someone schlepped themselves to work. well done. expect a few socialistic retorts to come out for an hour. then they do lunch and what the heck, just drive home

I would have to agree with this statement. Very watered down. The competition is very inconsistent. One week we go from a close game, the next week a 10-0 blowout. More blowouts than not. My son has played stronger travel teams than some of these teams in CCSL. I see it as CCSL is just a replacement for CJSA.

I cant put my finger on why costs of everything made in the USA cost so much to produce and companies keep sending work overseas or to Mexico.
And I can't understand how a country with a vibrant middle class, one that drove the economy has been decimated. There was a time when this country was great and it was great because the working man could support a family. The system has been corrupted by a greedy 1% that accumulates over 90% of the wealth this economy produces. If teachers, factory workers, cops, firefighters, etc...can't sustain their li ol hood and the middle class is now decimated we are on the road to ruin. This country cannot be great without a healthy middle class.

Stop watching Rachel Madcow. I recommend you start with Milton Friedman's Free to Choose.

Our club has been in CCSL for two years now. Competition has gotten much better and most League now have 2-3 brackets with promotion and relegation. League also threw out two clubs who were a nightmare to deal with and teams were a mess. Their admin are responsive, well organized and focused on making their league better and more competitive. my only criticism is cost. They definitely charge more but I will sacrifice that if they continue to build the competition and are responsive to concerns that get raised. I would expect that the competition will get better next year and that CJSA will be done with Premier. US Club has just been more adaptive to clubs needs and are nimble enough to cater to clubs needs. CJSA is a monolith who should focus on recreational soccer. Any word on what happened to their President?

That's correct. And if a few other letters of the alphabet are thrown together promising the next Pot of Gold, a herd of parents will without a doubt hit the trail.

And your options are what? CJSA? CCSL isn't perfect but far better than CJSA has been for years. Mostly better competion (there's a few bugs but building a new league won't happen in overy night ) and they're much better to work with. I'm very glad they did come along otherwise the state of CT soccer would be worse. At least now clubs have a decent in state option for appropriate teams. We don't need more teams driving all over the tri state area for games

You shouldn't get high this early in the morning. Maybe you'll straighten up before the lunch shift starts at McD's.

Nonsense and you know it. The clubs in CCSL are, for the most part, many of the state's stronger clubs with better than coaching than most daddy travel coaches. You get better playing better teams and having strong teammates and coaching. That doesn't mean that all ulittles need to be playing CCSL. There are many solid travel programs out there for the youngest years. But at some point a player who wants to improve needs to move out of travel and at this rate it shouldn't be into a CJSA team
