Usually that is the case, but every once in a while a TS poster gets it right. I agree it isn't likely in this case (I don't see how it's even feasible and USS is currently bogged down with its own messes). But it's fun to play "what ifs" on TS! -

US Soccer is panicking because of boys ECNL. This move will lose 2/3 of their teams that just got relegated even though many can beat MLS clubs. This is a huge mistake that many won't tolerate. No one is skipping high school to play in a B or C league. On a positive note parents if these players should be proud to know that their investment in soccer may help some MLS academy players or foreign born RTD kids make it to the USNT or even become a pro. Their introduction of GDA was proof it was never about the soccer; it's about getting rid of ECNL. Separating out MLS vs non MLS will not go over well. While some non MLS clubs are good quality and can hang with MLS no problem (and, some MLS clubs are weak as well), if you take away MLS club from the league you're essentially left with another ECNL-like league. It loses it's prestige, support, etc. plus you have to give up HS to participate. It also would make travel that much more difficult unless they add more clubs - and it this point what clubs are left that are good quality and aren't in ECNL already?Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Let the MLS clubs develop the players they want and the rest of the clubs can play in a division without the MLS teams. Oakwood should be pushing for this as they will lose very few if any players to NE Revs. Oakwood is no better of a club than they were 10 years ago and Beachside is actually worse since the DA started.Comment
